Rumors has been spreading about the issues concerning Sunday Oliseh and Vincent Enyeama , few days ago the goalkeeper left super eagle. Oliseh opened up in an interview, Saying he was really disappointed at the character Vincent had on his personality as regarding this issue. He can quit the team if he wishes to, and nobody would stop him, instead of saying things that never happened.
Twenty four players were invited to the camp,Including john Mikel obi who came in Sunday night, they were suppose to report on Monday but it was good some came in before then , while most players arrived on Monday. I was aware Vincent went for his mother's burial Ceremony, so i believed he would come late.
On Tuesday as at 5.20pm just as the training was almost over he drove in from the airport and we even hugged as i was very happy seeing him, there are pics of me hugging him back in camp.
After the training exercise was over i wasn't too happy as i needed an improvement for us as a team . The players were cautious of what it was. At the end of my speech i went to sit down . Then Enyeama came and said he wanted to say something , i told him to see me later but he insisted he must say what he had to say and i told him he could see me later so we can sought out whatever he has to say.
He was adamant and i told him we cannot have two coaches in a team , I decide who to talk and when to talk in a meeting . This is the super eagles for heaven sake and i don't want you to talk now period. I told him you either stop this now or you go back home, I stood up shook him and said go home i have released you. You just came in , you haven't even trained and you are bringing up arguments, so you can go home now.
I left to my room and five of the team players (Musa, Onazi, Mikel ,Emenike, Echejile) came to me and said Coach we have talked to him, We know that most times he talks before even thinking and i said it was okay with me .He can stay , all i wanted to do is to build a team and the next morning everything was settled, we took our breakfast and went for training. Then later i got a message from back home where Vincent had insinuated publicly that i have insulted the memory of his mother.
It touched me and i was deeply hurt . It sounded so ridiculous, how can one make a wrong accusation where there are lots of witnesses as many as 20 teams members were there.
How could he say i said something like that. I know he is the captain of the team and during our match in Tanzania, I called the the team administrator Dayo and we arranged for the team to wear a black band and to have a minute of silence to honor Vincent dead mum but the only reason why that was not done was because Dayo said they refuse to consider our request because we didn't apply.
